5th day - Ark Archaeological Park

 "Archaeological Park"

Hi dears ! Today we have been "Archaeological Park"  which was opened in the Ark fortress in Bukhara. It was an amazing trip . Now Iʼll share my experiences with you💗⚡

Now, tourists can see the preserved foundations of the fortress in the "Archaeological Park", observe the sights of old Bukhara, and also participate directly in archaeological excavations according to their wishes.

On September 22, the opening ceremony of the "Archaeological Park" created in the Ark Fortress in Bukhara was held. This was reported by the regional administration .

It is reported that during the occupation of Bukhara in 1920, two-thirds of the ancient fortress was completely destroyed. Therefore, this area was "surrounded" from the point of view of tourists. 103 years later, on the same day, a new tourist destination for foreign and domestic tourists - "Archaeological Park" - was established in the ruined part of the Ark fortress, which occupies an area of almost 4 hectares.

In this "Archaeological Park" visitors of the city can see the foundations of the fortress preserved to this day, get acquainted with the excavation works, observe the scenery of Bukhara and directly participate in the archaeological excavations.

As part of this project supported by UNESCO and implemented in cooperation with scientists of the famous Louvre Museum in France, corridors and a shed with a porch are being built from ancient bricks and stones, and additional amenities are being created for tourists. In the course of restoration and repair-restoration works, the wall of about 120 meters of the back side of the Ark fortress was covered with baked bricks

For information, the construction period of the "Ark" fortress, which is called Bukhara's fortress, that is, the ancient part of the city, dates back to the IV century BC.

At the end of my todayʼs blog I want to share a photo with my dears!

I will wait for your comments ! 🙃
