9th day - Djoybor Madrasah

 Bukhara women-girls madrasa

Hello everybody !

Today we have been Djoybor Madrasah and now I am going to share my experiences with you !

"Joybori Kalon" madrasa was established by the decree of Bukhara Governor Abdulaziz Khan during the time of Subhonkuli Khan, that is, in the late 17th - early 18th centuries. The daughter-in-law of the Joybori family, Oyposhshabibi, the wife of Abdihoja Joybori, contributed to the construction of the madrasa. She was an extremely enlightened, pious woman who spared no money for the madrasah. Along with the madrasa, the mosque "Wolidai Abdulazizkhan" has also been built. Also, a pool - "Pool Nav" was built between these two buildings. Ayposhsha Bibi followed the age-old tradition in the construction of the madrasa. The palace is entered through an inner gate of a luxurious porch. To the left of the entrance is a mosque, and to the right is a series of stilted rooms leading to the roof. The madrasah is one-storied and has 21 rooms.

During the Soviet era, the madrasa was used for various purposes. As a result, it was abandoned. Finally, on September 1, 1992, Melody resumed the activities of the madrasa.

"Joybori Kalon" educational institution is dedicated to women and girls, has a deep understanding of the history and theory of religions, has a secondary education in religious sciences, a teacher of the elementary Arabic language, issues of religious enlightenment and spiritual and moral education. specializes in training consultants. Madrasa operates on the basis of the plan approved by the Department of Education of the Office of Muslims of Uzbekistan.

Currently, qualified teachers teach seventy-nine students in secular sciences such as Quran, hadith, jurisprudence, history of Islam, aqeed, Arabic language, calligraphy. It is worth noting that, along with learning, female students also learn the secrets of calligraphy.

The building of Educational institution consists of mosque, spirituality, computer science, study rooms, dormitory for students, administrative rooms, kitchen and ablution room with modern facilities. The computer room of the educational institution is equipped with modern computers and visual aids. Students learn religious and secular subjects with the help of computers. A library with more than 8,458 scientific and fiction books and a cozy study hall were established for them to conduct scientific research and to be aware of daily information.

In order to further increase the scientific potential of our young people and to create a foundation for them to be physically fit, a modern kitchen, a toilet, and a fitness area were built in addition to the madrasa building, which provides an opportunity for our students to do sports.

At the end of my today始s blog, I can say that it was an amazing trip and we gained much more new information , as well. Here you can see some pictures with my dears!
